SUSANNE EDER-MEYER
BIO
Susanne Eder-Meyer grew up in Germany and moved in 2021 to Linz, Austria. Before getting into paddling, Susanne was already a hard-hitting athlete, completing high-altitude climbs and competing in mountaineering.
On top her of passion for alpine sports, Susanne loves swimming, windsurfing and of course, stand-up paddling.
After the birth of her two kids in 2014 and 2015, Susanne got into SUP recreationally but things did not stay at the hobby level for very long. The competition bug bit, and within two years she raced at a local level. Another year later, she entered more international races and the ICF World Championships in Hungary, where she won a bronze medal in the Master A class in the long-distance discipline.
Besides participating in SUP races, Susanne trains and coaches young SUP racers and is closely involved with the local SUP racing scene.
By paddling and training, especially for long distances, Susanne finds it helps her to unwind from her job as a medical professional.
