Mother of two teenagers, she started the sport after recovering from a back surgery as a recovery low impact sport, but at the same time she discovered her passion for the ocean. Started competing in panama national races in 2016 and got the chance to represent their country in the Central American Games held at Managua in 2017, becoming the first gold medal in history for Panama.
