Leash tech
What are swivels for?
When you get washed, it is not uncommon to be rolled underwater, and get your leash tangled up. By adding two swivels (one pictured on the ankle band, the other on the rail saver) , you avoid twisting your leash cord.
This way, you simply surface ready to paddle and pop from the get-go, no need to untangle a misbehaving leash.
What’s a rail saver for?
Getting washed will often involve the ocean applying unusual force to your equipment. In that situation, the rails around the leash plug of your board are especially vulnerable to a ding or crack.
By adding a (wider) rail saver, the pressure on your board is spread out evenly, protecting your rails from gashes and cuts.
