Originally a flat-water racer designed to cope with disruptive chop, the Ninja has evolved into a range of flat-water boards that can handle (mild) sea conditions. The addition of the 12’6″ program, more on that below, allows junior athletes to perform at the top of their ability as well.

Ninja design

Nose diving is minimized by an increase in volume and straight outlines for better flow. The improved cockpit design keeps out more water – a reinforced and heightened rail lip shields the cockpit from more splash water and the reduced length of the recessed area collects less water in buoy turns.

14′ Ninja Design:

  • Recessed deck for a low center of gravity, adding stability.
  • Flat-deck tail for high-performance and stable buoy turns without collecting wash.
  • Accelerator Vacuum System (AVS) for quick water drain from the dugout standing area.
  • A full-length nose keeps the entire board in the water, for sustained glide and consistent speed.
  • Three neoprene handles, two short and one long.

A subtle shift of the four AVS pods (Accelerator Vacuum System) towards the rocker increases the AVS performance of the new Ninja and the recessed area now drains more effectively as well.

A lower center of gravity helps stability, allowing the design team to reduce the width of the 21” model, creating a Ninja with a width of just 20”. The NSP Ninja gives paddlers an incredibly fast flatwater weapon, but the best part is that the Ninja works in water with textured conditions as well. The increasing demands of flatwater racers, looking to race even narrower shapes, made us design the Ninja in 21” up to widths of 24” as well.

12’6″ Ninja – Junior Pro Model

The rise of paddle boarding clubs and growth of the Junior racing class requires a board that allows younger athletes between 30kg and 50kg to perform at the apex of their ability.

The Ninja 12’6″ has the same features as the 14-foot original, with refinements to the nose area and a flat-deck design instead of the recessed area of the 14′ versions.

2023 NSP Ninja Pro Carbon

Teamrider feedback confirms these 12’6″ shapes are absolute weapons and NSP is confident the new 12’6″ is the perfect tool for athletes to compete at the pointy end of the pack.

Like the full-size version, the 12’6″ Ninja is a predominantly flat water racer that excels in chop and small bumps. It comes with the same Race Fin 22 as the 14′ versions (except the 14’x24″, which comes out of the box wit the Race 24 fin).

12’6″ Junior Pro Model Design:

  • Flat deck shape, eliminating the need for Accelerator Vacuum System (AVS).
  • Flat-deck tail for high-performance and stable buoy turns without collecting wash.
  • A full-length nose keeps the entire board in the water, for sustained glide and consistent speed.
  • Three neoprene handles, two short and one long.

Fins:

The NSP 22 and 24 racing fins are designed to deliver top performance: expect excellent tracking, stability, efficiency, speed and easy acceleration.

Both the 12’6″ racers, the 20″, 21″ and 22″ come with the NSP 22 Race fin, while the 24″ comes with the NSP 24 Race fin.

Pro Carbon Technology

Ninja Kaido SLX Carbon construction diagram

SLX Carbon construction for added strength and less weight
• Unidirectional (UD) carbon rail for enhanced rigidity and durability
• Carbon innegra nose and tail reinforcement for extra impact protection
• Fiberglass T-Stringers for added stiffness
• Ledge handle for easy carrying and transport
• Bungee cord to secure loose items
• Thermoformed EVA deck for added grip
• Low center of gravity for comfort and stability

The NSP Ninja features Pro Carbon reinforced rail lips & carbon rail bands

By using Innegra™ Carbon for the rail lips in favor of “conventional” biaxial carbon, one of the most ding-prone areas on any race board is drastically reinforced without weight penalties.

Ding resistance, durability and damage tolerance all increase, protecting your equipment. All recessed NSP Raceboards benefit from this new construction, including the new NSP Ninja. Along with Uni-directional rail bands (on the side) and 100% biaxial carbon layups (on the deck and bottom), the lightness, stiffness and performance of these boards are unique!
